Trading
I think the goal of most traders is to become as mechanical as possible, thus removing emotions (greed and fear) and improving consistency. However, writing mechanical systems that cover all the knowledge in a traders head is virtually impossible. My goal therefore is to design and computerise as much as I can and use discretion to do the rest - in effect I am looking for a Mechanical Assistant to advise me on trades. I design and backtest trading systems using TradeStation. I am always looking at new ideas, setups, systems and markets to try and improve my trading. And I am always happy to work with fellow traders (whether mechanical or discretionary) so we can generate new ideas, test ideas faster or translate profitable discretionary methods into mechanical systems.
